There’s no denying the fact that technology is quickly advancing, and here at Tepilo we have fully immersed ourselves in the prospects and opportunities confronted by the digital world.. and we’re enjoying every exciting minute of it!
But how have other property portals made use of this ever evolving world?
Property apps and portals have started taking innovative new approaches to house-hunting, and we think it's great!
Moovrs - "The mobile app that puts the fun back into your property search" was released yesterday. It's a fast-paced mobile app that encourages users to flippantly swipe left or right on properties they want to save or bin.
The team stated:
“The idea for Moovrs evolved from the consumer demand for an app that makes house-hunting more enjoyable, somewhat like a game! Rather than the hair-pulling chore it can often be, Moovrs is fast-paced and fun, whilst also completely practical for the more 'serious' elements such arranging viewings. We’re a search portal, not an estate agency, and not a competitor to agents such as Tepilo. In fact, we support online estate agents fully. Moovrs is simply the app that allows users to have a bit of fun with their property search. Let’s call it ‘Property Banter’.”
So what’s so different about this app?
Well, the most prominent function of the app seems to be the swipe element. Users can swipe a property to the left to save it and to the right to ditch it. Then they can revisit these lists later to review them, arrange viewings and so-on.
Whilst more 'serious' property search portals have extensive filters and property info, the Moovrs team decided to prioritise just a few of these elements for the sake of simplicity and ease. They explained that when they uncovered the stat that 1 in 8 people purchase a property before they’ve even viewed it, they felt an urge to explore this further. They found that these ⅛ people looked for the 3 P’s of Property - Place, Price and Pictures - and these most influenced their buying decisions. From there, they built an app that integrates these three prominent elements in a clear and enjoyable way.
We’re more or less hooked. Could this be the next big boom in property search portals?
