We love the peace and quiet afforded by being 'down at the bottom' of this sought after 1930s enclave (we've kept some original features); Yet, we have the advantage of being within easy reach of transport and shopping. Our West facing garden in particular is a joy, with feathery Cedar trees allowing the sunlight to filter through all day - the outlook to the rear is more trees providing a rural feel. It's very bird friendly with several woodpecker visitors. The house itself is just the happiest place - lots of light and big interesting rooms as well as a very lovely landing - we have an Italian style sofa there under the large stained glass window. The bathroom in particular is a favourite, with marble and limestone and a large walk in shower as well as masses of 1930s original cupboard space! We entertain a lot and the house is well suited to large groups of people with the extended rear living room opening onto the garden and a dining room which seats masses of people. We are currently giving the outside a facelift following the new windows and roof being fitted.

There is a huge loft ripe for conversion into two more double bedrooms with another bathroom. We have put on a new roof this year and doubled glazed the windows. We had already done the cavity wall insulation and there is excellent insulation in the loft - so it's cosy.
