Our detached house is a real family home. We've been here since 2003, and in that time our family has become complete. The lounge diner has always been advantagous, allowing me to keep an eye on my children as they've played and got on with school work. The large patio doors allow us to watch the kids outside while we sit inside, and vice versa. We've had many a happy party with friends and family, with a patio big enough to hold a picnic table and still leave space for the kids to push their ride on toys around.
The house is in a quiet residential street, people don't tend to drive down it unless they're visiting or living here, keeping the house and garden peaceful.
I've filled the garden with shrubs and bushes over the time we've been here. It's not manicured, but it's bright and soft, I prefer the cottagey look of a garden, and with 3 boys and their fort the garden would not stay manicured while we're here!
Our kitchen was fitted in July 2008 by moben. It has a few of the cool quirks, pull out larder, swing out corner unit, the space is used perfectly for us, and it looks lovely and smart and sleek in a black laminate and walnut combination.
Our bedroom overlooks the back garden, a lovely view, the boys have the two front bedrooms.
This is a great house, in a great road, please come visit us and see for yourselves! |
Built in 1930, this house is in a style of only a few scattered around the area. Detached houses are ideal for families with young children and teenagers, no one banging on your walls because your child has their music up too high! Out front there is off road parking space enough for a small car.
Calton Infant an Junior Schools are a road away along with Calton Playgroup. My children have all started in the playgroup and are now in the Infant and Junior School. There is a very friendly corner shop around the, well, corner, along side a popular hairdressers. Kitchener Avenue is 20 minutes walk from the Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet, and there are several parks and open spaces near by. |
