The town of Bodmin is just ten minutes drive, here you will find all the amenities you ned such as supermarket, doctors, dentist, schools etc The cottage is a stone’s throw from the camel trail which runs along the Padstow estuary with inspiring views. The camel trail is great for both walking and cycling. With roughly twelve miles of fishable river, including some private riparians and fisheries, the keen fisher is spoilt for choice. Salmon is the principle fish, and the entire Camel river is designated as an area of conservation. North Cornwall is also home to a tremendous choice of courses to suit all golfers. All have beautiful views from seascapes to farmland. They include Bowood Park (near Lanteglos), St Kew (near Wadebridge), Lanhydrock and Lostwithiel (near Bodmin), Roserrow (near St Minver) and Trevose (near Constantine Bay). St Enodoc at Rock is a wonderful links course over looking the Camel estuary. Many beaches dot the Cornish coast and all are in easy reach of Horseshoe Cottage. They include Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Rock, Constantine Bay and Booby Bay near Wadebridge, Harlyn Bay and Watergate Bay. Further north there are a number of enchanting coves such as Port Quin, Port Gavern, Port Isaac and Crackington Havern. The Cornish capital city of Truro is a 40 minute drive. Truro is great for shopping, or afternoon stroll with its skyline dominated by the magnificent cathedral. The picturesque fishing town of Padstow, made famous by Rick Stein’s restaurants there, is also just a 25 minutes. Meanwhile, Wadebridge with many amenities and restaurants is just 15 minutes. Country pubs nearby include the Old Inn in St. Breward, the Malsters Arms in Chapel Amble, the Longcross in Trelights and the St. Kew Inn in St. Kew Churchtown.
