Our home is tucked away in the heart of the village, down a quiet lane - our row of terraces are like a best kept secret. Sometimes on a Sunday we have horses trekking past the back garden. I love the fact that my boys are able to walk to school without having to cross any main roads. In winter, the lounge with its whitewashed beams and cosy wood-burner is just the ticket and I love nothing more than curling up on the sofa, next to the fire with a glass of wine and the papers. In summer, the back garden has a decked area which gets the sun in the afternoon through to the evening - its just perfect for a chilled glass of wine with friends. I swear my husband is addicted to roll-top baths - this is our second house with one in, and its just pure indulgence. The location is just bliss - a rural village that still has a post office, pub, newsagents, village stores, hairdresser, awesome hardware store!, estate agent and two chinese takeaways (both excellent). Many a Sunday is spent in the local pub with the kids free to play on the adjoining field, coming back occasionally for food and drink.
