What is Tepilo.com?
Just launched in July 2009, Tepilo is a brand new service, created by Sarah Beeny, that will change the way you think about buying, selling and now letting your home.
If you want to avoid paying commission to an agent, or if you need an additional way to put your house on the market, tepilo.com will provide a platform to showcase your home whilst taking on board tips and advice from our property expert - Sarah Beeny. Tepilo.com provides you with an interactive online account, which enables you to track your property's progress 24/7.
Sarah Beeny's wealth of experience and professionalism will help guide the user from getting ready for your first viewing to completion day and everything in between, ensuring a smooth journey in what can be an extremely stressful period.

What are the key benefits of using Tepilo.com?
Why is it called Tepilo?
My father had a fictional story about Tepilo castle which he used to tell me about when I was very young. It sounded like a wonderful, magical place and so I named the site after it, because we all aspire to live in our dream home.
Are you a service? Are you an agent?
We are not an agent. Teplio is a platform to allow people to take control of buying and selling their own home. Did we mention it was free?
Who's it for?
Everyone. Anyone who is looking to buy, sell or let a property, is interested in property, has a property related question or wants to know more about how they can maximise the value of their property.
Where does it cover?
The site will focus on property across the whole of the UK initially, with the potential to expand this further.
There are other sites that allow users to upload their properties for sale themselves though?
Yes, there are, but they all charge a minimum fee to upload your property. Ours is completely free to use, and will give you all the advice you need along the way.
Is it really completely free?
Yes, it is.
Why now?
The property market has been hit hard by the current economic climate - but the good news is that it has made us review property market. It's our aim that Tepilo.com will instill consumer confidence in selling homes by giving them the tools to manage the process themselves should they want to.
How do you deal with the legalities of buying and selling a house on your site?
We offer clear advice throughout the process, but people are still responsible for appointing a solicitor once a sale/contract has been agreed -just as you normally would.
Does the site get involved in the negotiation process?
The negotiation process is carried out through the site, which helps to depersonalise the process and takes the emotion out of the transaction.
The users are completely in control of how much they want to offer or accept on a home, but it does give more opportunity to get a good deal or hold out for the price you want.
But the property market isn't moving quickly at the moment?
Things will and are moving again - ultimately we all still need to buy, sell and let homes so why not save money doing it?
Is that all the site does - show properties for sale/to let?
No. There is also loads of advice from me, including a video library (coming soon) of hints and tips that we are constantly updating. Plus, there is a section called "Design for Profit" showing you how to design your house to maximise your profit.
Is it an ecommerce site?
No. No money changes hands on the site.
