Wow! Well hello and welcome and thanks very much for reading my first post to my property journey blog.

This is what I know - “I’m pretty certain I want to invest in property”. That is pretty much the sum total of my knowledge!

Yes, I have a rudimentary understanding of yield and current buy-to-let mortgage possibilities but I know nothing in-depth and every step of my journey will be recorded here for your (and my) information. As in the tagline above, I really am an amateur at all this. I work in IT and would love to get into property full-time. I made the tagline above to motivate me to reach my goal of being a property entrepreneur by the closing ceremony of the 2012 olympics!

I have a completely open mind regarding what form this investment will take. I will examine all the fundamentals and take action (or not) depending on the results. All my calculations will be presented here for all to see.

I will leave no stone unturned in my quest for successful property investment and I’ll make sure that all the real gems I find out about are noted down here. I’ll also make sure that any difficulties I face are also shown in all there glory - I’m not too proud to admit when I’ve made a wrong turn and hopefully describing it here will prevent me from doing it again - and stop you falling into the trap in the first place.

Ok. Its 11.30 am and I’ve devoted the next two hours to finding out a little more about the financial aspects of investment. I’ll be back to let you know what I find out!
